Middle school has a lot of new beginnings. It’s more than just a bunch of learning about math and science, it also introduces people to more social learning opportunities, like gaining friends, losing friends, going to parties, and middle school relationships. Middle school relationships have their pros and cons. In my opinion, they’re important to have. Middle schoolers are the perfect age to enter the dating scene. If both people are mature enough to stay committed and try for their relationship it will last but in middle school majority of people are not mature enough to handle the responsibilities that are present in good relationships, like loyalty, respect, and consideration. So relationships usually don’t last that long. From experience, I can say that relationships in middle school are one of the worst things in middle school, besides fake friends of course. They usually only cause more stress for a student, especially if they aren’t in a good relationship. It can also break up a good friendship if you were great friends before. Most of them don’t last because they’re forced, or one of them don’t know how to reject someone. Middle school relationships can cause more harm than good. So unless you know your ready and the other person is ready then you can start the relationship. I would say that: Relationships in middle school are OK to have, but you certainly don’t NEED one. Take some precautions before committing to have one.
